In several cities in Argentina, including Colegiales in Buenos Aires City, San Martín, La Plata, and Córdoba, there have been cases of young people using artificial intelligence tools to alter photos of their female classmates and then sell them online. In these cases, the modified images to appear nude have been sold at high prices, like photo packs involving girls aged between 13 and 17 years.

One of the most emblematic cases involved a 17-year-old student from San Agustiniano School in San Andrés, who sold altered photos of his classmates through the Discord platform. This came to light when another student posed as a buyer and discovered the illicit activity. It is estimated that around 8,000 people were part of this group where these manipulated photos were traded.

Despite reports and complaints filed, the lack of a solid legal framework has hindered legal action against those responsible for these practices. Educational institutions have also been criticized for not taking adequate measures to address such situations. Similar cases have been reported in other locations, such as San Juan and Córdoba, where deep learning techniques were used to create false images of student nudity.

In these scenarios, where the privacy and integrity of young people are compromised, there is a clear lack of regulations to address the misuse of technology to the detriment of others. Despite complaints and efforts from some organizations, a legal void still exists that makes it difficult to protect victims and pursue those responsible for these acts.
